Voices from the Theater
I loved it! So thrilling and insightful. Truly inspiring! It must go to Broadway!
This Beethoven experience was an exciting journey of discovery, with a masterful, powerful performance.
I left the theater unable to speak. The silence at the end was the loudest thing I have ever heard.
About the Production
The Fight of a Lifetime
Set on a critical night in Beethoven's last year, we discover Beethoven's traumas and victories as well as what drives him. It's not a biography; it's a look into the soul of this genius as he deals with approaching death, wrestles with guilt, greatness, isolation, and whether his music offers redemption.
Beethoven: Fighting Fate is not a celebration of triumph. It is an unflinching look at the years of rage, despair, and terrifying silence that preceded the Ninth Symphony.
Drawn from Beethoven's own letters, including the anguished Heiligenstadt Testament, this production asks: what does it cost to create beauty when the world has gone quiet?
